No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no stress.
I have built a team of well-trained and confident Anesthesiologists in the Greater Los Angeles area to deliver general anesthesia for children unable to otherwise tolerate pediatric dental work. Whether you are familiar with office-based pediatric dental cases or are interested in switching from your exhausting hospital career, contact us below to learn more.
The appropriate candidate
Well trained and confident.
We are looking for skilled Anesthesiologists who are knowledgeable, friendly, calm, and confident. You will work independently within a supportive group and earn very competitive pay.
Physician Anesthesiologists
Board-certified Anesthesiologists are encouraged to apply. We will help with all credentialing and compliance matters to be in full compliance with the Medical and Dental Boards.
Dental Anesthesiologists
Board-certified Dental Anesthesiologists already at home in the dental setting. We will help with all credentialing and compliance matters.
Career profile
Typical work day.
Children who cannot be treated awake are treated in their own dentist’s office while they sleep. You bring the anesthesia. The dentist does the dentistry.
Full autonomy
Your case is yours. You make the anesthetic plan and you run it, start to finish. Nobody looks over your shoulder and nobody hands you a protocol to follow.
One child at a time
One Anesthesiologist with one child for the whole appointment. No need to rush, and no staggered cases.
Easy cases, no trauma
Elective, scheduled dental treatment on children who have been medically cleared well before the day. No trauma, no emergencies, no admissions.
Almost all cases are ASA 1
Healthy children, roughly two to ten years old, with the occasional ASA 2. You know what you are walking into before the day begins.
The case is ready when you arrive
The parent contact, the health history, the records, the medical clearance and the fasting instructions are all handled before the day. You walk into a prepared case.
General anesthesia in a dental office
Dental treatment for children who cannot cooperate awake, are very anxious, or have extensive treatment.
For hospital-based Anesthesiologists
Pick up extra days, or move into dental anesthesia entirely.
If you work in a hospital or a surgery center and want to add easy days to your week, or if you have been looking for a way into the dental world, this is a golden opportunity. The clinical work is the work you already do. The setting may be new, but you will quickly become comfortable.
-
Extra days, or a career change
Pediatric general anesthesia may sound daunting, but it is very straightforward. Shadowing is offered to serious inquiries.
-
Daytime only
Cases run in daylight hours in a dental office. No nights, no weekends and no holidays.
-
Familiar clinical work, new room
Pediatric general anesthesia is pediatric general anesthesia. What changes is the room, the dental team beside you and the rhythm of a dental operatory — and that part comes quickly.

We help with credentialing
There are many steps to take in order to be in compliance with your malpractice insurance and the Dental and Medical Boards. We will help you navigate them, and credentialing usually takes about three weeks.
The team
A team, not a list of names.
You work alongside a collaborative, collegial group that values respect and teamwork. My supportive team consists of Medical and Dental Anesthesiologists whose goal is to help children receive the dental care they need.

Pediatric dental offices across the Greater Los Angeles area — Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice, Encino, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Burbank and Pasadena.
Send a note through the form below, or call. We talk first, and if it looks like a fit I will walk you through how a day runs before you commit to anything.
Your own practice, if you have one. Plenty of the team work elsewhere as well and fit these days around it.
Common questions
What Anesthesiologists ask first.
What kind of cases would I be doing?
How often would I work?
How much autonomy do I have over the anesthetic?
Do I have an assistant?
I am hospital-based and have never worked in a dental office. Is that a problem?
Do I need the Dental Board permit before I contact you?
Do I bring my own equipment and medications?
No. We provide everything you need to work safely, and we will help you obtain anything else your practice calls for.
That means the anesthesia machine and the hospital-grade monitors, the airway equipment and the emergency equipment, and the anesthetic and emergency medications for the case. We will provide everything. If there is something you prefer to have on hand, tell us and we will make sure it is there.
Where would I be working?
How do I apply?
